CONTACT LIST OF OSA MEMBERS If you want to be included on the following list please email me with your name, email address, the year that you left the Upper Sixth (or would have left the Upper Sixth if you left earlier) and a mini-biography (just two or three lines saying when you left BSN, what you did then and what you are doing now). Only include snailmail adddresses and telephone numbers if you are really sure you want them published to the whole wide world (not only BSNers read this page). Hopefully, this list will enable more members to easily keep in contact - maybe you will even renew some lost contacts.

David Eaton
[Class of 1982]
After leaving the BSN, I went to UMIST to study Mathematics and Management Sciences. My first job took me to ICI in NE England where I started working in IT and traveled frequently to Brussels where I got to know my wife, Julie. I proposed to her in 1990 and at the same time told her that I had got a new job in Munich working for Compaq Computers. Fortunately, she joined me and we got married in 1991. We spent 5.5 marvelous years in Munich enjoying the Biergarten and the skiing. We eventually got lured across to the US, due to the high demand for SAP consultants in 1995. At that time if you could spell SAP you got the job! We initially moved to Boston, working for KPMG, and spent a year traveling to clients in Richmond (Virginia), New York, Atlanta (during the Olympics in 1996) and finally Mobile (Alabama). At which point the `fumes' and fried chicken in Alabama prompted us to leave KPMG and move to `sunny' California. We worked for a small SAP consulting company living in Palo Alto (just south of San Francisco) and have worked in the SF Bay area for the last 5 years. My wife chose the easy option of working as an ABAP programmer so that she could work at home as well as looking after the kids. I am currently working as an SAP Project Manager at a large semiconductor company. Our first daughter was born in Stanford in Dec '98 and our second child is due in Feb '02. My parents still live in Voorhout, NL and we still have regular contact with the Garvins and Smiths. I would love to meet up with anybody who is passing through `sunny' California.

I spent one really fun-packed year at the BSN and then went back to Sweden. After finishing school I spent about a year in the Swedish army (at the time it was still obligatory - had it not been I believe I would have served anyway, it was actually rather fun). Having done that I didn't feel ready for university studies just yet, so instead I spent about 2,5 years DJ:ing, working in a record store, writing for a music magazine and writing/recording/performing with my own little pop/rock band. We released an E.P. that received just about no attention at all (it might have had something to do with the fact that I wrote most of the songs, I'm not sure...). So, having finally realised that the life of Elvis was never mine to be I began studying criminology and forensic psychology at the University of Stockholm while working part time at the central remand center in Stockholm. Basically this means that I am still a poor little student and tha t when I'm finally through with my schooldays (in about a year from now) I will start working as a researcher. I would love to get in contact with anyone who happens to remember me (I used to wear black clothes and spoke rather pompously to disguise the fact that more often than not I had no clue at all of what I was on about... a filthy habbit I still find it hard to refrain from). I miss you all: Si, Se-Min, Stuart, Daniel, Simon Paterson, Amy, Tom DiGaggo, Chris O'Brien, Thom D... well, all of you!

[Class of 1974]
I was at Tapijtweg from 1964-7. Memories include our class teacher Mrs Jonkers (I think). Getting into trouble for larking around at the tram stop near Madurodam on afternoon. And having loads of fun decorating the sixth year room. I wonder if Jane managed to get all that wallpaper paste out of her hair! After the British School I went to boarding school in England, graduated in Environmental Chemistry from Warwick. After eleven years in the chemical /pharmaceutical industry, discovered PCs and became a journalist for a computer magazine. Then got into Desktop publishing and graphic design where I've been until recently, working freelance and running a community resource centre in Herefordshire. 2005 saw me landing a job at the Herefordshire Council as an integrated transport officer where I now promote alternatives to car use such as cycling. Married, no kids. Anyone remember these names? Nick Warshaw, TC Schultz, Timothy Barr, Philip Sasson? Love to hear from you.

[Class of 1998]
G'day all! I left in '94 to go to the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar in Australia, and finished of my secondary schooling at the GGS Senior-School in 1997. In '98 I took a year off study and travelled back to Europe to mostly work in a German boarding school as an assistant English teacher and managed to get my German to a reasonable level. Since I arrived back in Aus in 1999 I've been studying a combined degree of Science/Forest Science at The University of Melbourne, focusing mostly on Environmental Science and Geology and living at Trinity College. My brother, Chris, joined me here last year. I've been keeping myself busy rowing and playing a little rugby, as well as the odd hike and when necessary a little study. It was great to read up on what everyone's been doing with themselves since I left and would greatly appreciate catching up with all those I've sadly lost touch with over the years.

I was at BSN until around 91/92, not sure if anyone will remember me because of the short stay, but the experience kind of stuck in my mind so I thought I'd post some info. Finishing off a degree in Film and Literature Studies at the University of Cape Town, it's going well alongside my work as a writer and the DJing career. I was friends with the infamous Phillippe Ammann if that jogs anyone's memory. The names, faces and experiences of people still linger in my mind: Niels Evans, Anita Hennessey, Sarah Carter, Kate Lamy, Jacqui, Fiona, Michelle, Louise... I hope you're all doing well and that I'll hear from you soon.

I left BSN in 86 after a full year to study for the IB at Rijnlands Lyceum. After my bachelor at UCL I stayed on for the MA in Scandinavian Studies. I worked at a string of cable and satellite TV channels, initially translating subtitles into Danish but later in the European Marketing Departments. Andrew and I were married in ' 89 and our son Hugo was born in 2001 during which time, I was dabbling in charity work before changing direction and studying interior design and was working under my own company Paprika Design when Andrew was posted out here to Tokyo. We have now been here for 4 1/2 exciting years and our daughter Milly was born here in 2003. It's soon time to stop playing the expat wife however, since we'll be leaving at the end of July 2006. Hi I would have graduated in 2001 but I left BSN in 1986 to go just next door to Belgium to go to the BSB which I stayed at until I graduated in 1997. I then went to Uni to study BA (Hons) Retail Management for 4 years and came out of that with a 2:1 - yes, I suprised even myself with that one! I then worked in Finance for a year and a half as a Securities Administrator, which soon bored me half to death so I went travelling for 8 months to the Cook Islands, New Zealand (which I fell in love with and did the Nevis Bungee - 2nd highest in the world!!) and of course Oz! I just stumbled onto this site and wonder why I didn't look for it years ago. I'm disappointed that apparently no one else from my class has found it. I left BSN from lower 6th in 1979 and moved to Louisiana. I attended Louisiana State University for a couple of years, then spent some time in Caracas and Aberdeen in the early and mid 80s (ran into one of the Gores at a cricket club), then returned to the U.S., graduated from LSU and have been in the newspaper business in Baton Rouge ever since. I was at BSN between 1986 and 1988 and would have finished in 1994. I came back to London were I studied my GCSEs and A levels at Hampton School. I then went on to study Law at QMW, Univ of London. After three years of law, decided wasn't career for me, anyone who remembers me will testify that I was a crap liar ( a prerequisite to a career in the legal profession), took a year out, did a bit of traveling (Eastern Europe, Midd East...NICE!) and came back to England and joined Ernst & Young in London. After two years of working as an accountant I bailed out and joined a dot com as a management consultant, and this is where I still am to this day...though given the recent fluctuations in tech stocks and "possible" down turn in the economy etc who knows how long I'll be here for! I attended BSN from '74-'80. I had a great time and a lot of good memories: especially beating the French School 7-0 while Julian Crabb played for them. My brother Stuart and I moved back to Liverpool in '80. My parents and I only stayed for 1 year and then we moved to Pasadena, California. What a culture shock that was: from Toxteth riots to Margaritas on the beach. I went to San Diego State University until I was kicked out for poor grades....what did you expect from a Scouser going to PlayBoy's #1 party school in the nation in 1984. I graduated from Cal State Los Angeles in International Business and went to work for a computer monitor manufacturer called ViewSonic. Kept up the career in football, playing semi-pro on the So. Cal circuit. In '94, I opened up the European sales office for ViewSonic and lived in Reading for 2 years. Married my longtime girlfriend Yvette in the same registry office as John Lennon and then in '96 decided that I couldn't live in England anymore: it was doing my head in. Transferred back to So Cal, bought a house had a baby girl (Skylar Sarah) and I've got a dog: Henry (he thought his name was mad b*****d for the first 6 mos.!). Life is good. Richard Kooyenga and I hooked up for a session a month ago (he is definitely a nutter) and I've received e-mails form Julian Crabb and Nadia Paull. If anyone has contact with Alan Pinchbeck tell him the mad scouser is on the look out for him. Drop a note to say hello. God Bless Liverpool F.C.!

Just a quickie to change a bit of information please! Having come back from Australia, i am now working for a year in Paris as part of my degree and would love to hear from anyone who is in the near vicinity. I had a brilliant time in Australia, and managed to spend a couple of weeks with Mary-kate in Melbourne. She has finally put her ditzyness into fruition, and is has decided to get into showbiz, before moving to Prague for her degree. Managed to spend a couple of days with her in Melbourne on a filmset in which she had a bit-part, but her agent ensures me (darling!) she'll be the next kylie - oh well. Sorry to everyone who emailed me last time I updated, as i simply have not had the time to email back- but will start soon I promise. This website has been wonderful as I have been able to meet up with lots of old friends throughout the years. After studying in Liverpool I moved to London and worked for a start-up dot.com. I finally got sick of the high cost of living, long working hours, weather, etc, and headed for sunny Australia. It has definitely been the best decision I have ever made. I'm presently working as an IT contractor (I know it's hard to believe) and worked on a project for the NSW Police for a while which was fun. I have caught up with Holly who lives close by now. I also attended the Aussie reunion a few months ago and met Dani, Annabelle, Kate, Holly and Ainsley. It was a truly memorable evening and everybody looked fantastic! Nostalgia has brought me here. I don't know if anyone remembers me there but I sure remember a lot of the folks there, especially, Mr. Andrew Wright (quite the best music teacher in the world!!! Still), Mr. Tong, Mr. Singleton, Ms. Van Driel, Mrs. Landzendorfer (something like that!) and a lot of other teachers there. While there, I hung around Tim Cleary, Ginette Baerten, Hayato Shimitzu, Paul Davies (who, while I was in Holland, lived right across the street from me in Wassenaar!), and a lot of others that would take too long to mention! I entered BSN on the 2nd year in 1987,I sat my GCSE's in the Summer of 1991 at BSN and left for the US that summer. While in the US I completed my degree in Computer Sciences at Clark University. I am currently working as an IS Network Supervisor for a small hospital in the New England area, and consulting part-time for a local consulting firm. I also currently in the process of changing jobs, I am actually looking to go back to Europe so that I can be closer to my family. They are currently in Austria. Hi. Came across your site as a general browser after a tip-off from Ian Cope, a fellow 1982 leaver. Since leaving I've been in Sheffield (saw Phil Gore in various pubs there); Los Angeles (played football with Johan Cruyff's old teammates and Richard Kooyenga); Stoke (finally got a degree and met up with Ian Cope, who works for Sharp in Manchester); Enfield (got served Chinese Takeaways by John Laurence); Cheltenham (a blurr); Manchester (married girl from college called Liz) and now Brussels. Working as European Product Manager for GE (USA) and have a 2 year old daughter. Still playing football (at 33!!) for Royal Brussels British Football Club. Some team-mates still remember giving us a 4-0 drubbing for BSB versus BSN in 1981. Other team-mates currently play for BSB (yes, half my age) and claim nothing has changed ???? Looking forward to a May trip to Amsterdam to see the world's greatest football club lift the European Cup! Update April 2000: I moved back to the UK last year, now working and living in South West London for a different division of GE (Lighting) as European Marketing Manager.

I do remeber quite a fit young lady called Ine but once again, I can't be sure. If anyone can help me fill in some gaps, or in fact tell me I was a friendless loser I would be more than happy to hear from them. I graduated in 1993 with an HND and 1995 with a Degree which included a year with Novell. I then started work for an IT Support Company and was seconded to Ammirati Puris Lintas (an Advertising Agency in London). I left as IT Manager in 1998 after 3 years putting up with media people! I then setup my own company and started working as an IT Consultant which I'm still doing now (May 2001). Main client is a US Power Company called Intergen but I mainly work in London and live in East Finchley. I've twice taken up skydiving and twice given up after 20 jumps in total. Wow! Seems that I'm one of the old ones. I entered the English School when it was in an old barracks in Scheveningen in 1954. A long tram ride with a transfer from the Waasenaar line to the No. 9 up to Scheveningen. Went Stateside in 55 and came back in 58 to 60, when the whole school moved from Tapijt Weg to Park Weg. I remember at Tapijt Weg we had the Haagse Park and the Park Weg location was much more restricted. All, of course, had Prince Charles' picture framed on the classroom walls. If I had stayed for 6 more months, I would have "had" my "O" levels and missed two years of High School in the US, with all the consequential damage referred to in science fiction stories. That sort of makes me a 1960 Top Former. Still have my Prefect pin! After Rutgers U. I became attached to the US Army for a long time. My wife, Joyce, and I run a staffing service in North Jersey now. Boys 23, 16 and a daughter of 13 round out the crew. We're looking forward to a Euro vacation sometime soon.

I left BSN in 1994 and moved back to England after being at the school for only 2 years. I am currently studying for my A levels in Spanish, IT, Sociology and Government & Poltics, and no, i haven't made any mistakes there, those really are the subjects I am studying - I'm crazy I know! I still play a lot of hockey as well as enjoying loads of other sports. If anyone would like to get in touch then please feel free to email me cos I would love to hear from any of you guys that were in my class during those years!

I left BSN in 1994 and moved back to Buckinghamshire. Did a degree in European Studies and Spanish at the University of Manchester, which included a year in Madrid teaching English to Spanish students. Put me off teaching for life! Did various things for about a year after graduating, including work at a theatre and providing academic support to students with disabilities. Am now working for a business information provider in the Home Counties, monitoring and analysing business press for corporate reports. Still playing hockey although the knees are starting to get a bit old and rickety now! Would love to hear from other Class of 1998 members.

My sisters and I left BSN in 1994 and moved back to Buckinghamshire. After doing GCSEs and A-Levels, I studied BA (Hons) in European Studies and Spanish at Manchester. I spent a year in Madrid teaching in a secondary school during the third year of the course and I also managed to study history and Dutch as minor subjects as part of my degree. After I graduated, I did some work as an academic support worker for students with disabilities and continued working part-time in a theatre. I now work as an analyst for a business press monitoring firm, translating Spanish news items and writing business-related news articles for corporate clients. I'm now married and live in the Midlands. I still play hockey which takes up most of my weekends!

I was given the address of this site by Simon Buesnel (Class of '83) - many thanks Simon. There are some very familiar names here. I left the B.S.N. and Holland in 1977 (aged 12) after 4 years - arguably the best 4 years of my life - and came to live in Buxton, Derbyshire with my parents. After they moved on (about 1986), I decided to stay and have lived here ever since. I now have my own small company selling silicone coated release paper (on behalf of a French company) and various packaging materials. I used to keep in touch with Nicola Clarke (now Hill - married with 2 children last time I spoke to her), but unfortunately lost her address when I moved house about 4 years ago. On a personal note I am not married (living in sin!) and have 2 small boys (3 and 9 months). As a consequence I now have plenty of grey hair!! For those who remember me, you will be pleased to know I still occasionally turn out on a Sunday morning for a local football team. The main reason being I get asked on their annual trip to Amsterdam for the week-end around Easter. Also, as most of the players are 19-20 it means that at a ripe old age of 36, they can do my running for me! Would love to hear from any old friends - please mail me.

Have recently discovered the BSN website and am thrilled at the prospect of contacting old friends. I think I have found Anna Bolton and Jane White. Has anyone any news of Fiona Benson please? I know she was living in Italy for ages working as a teacher. And what about Susan Raistrick? I left Holland in year 11 to go to boarding school in North Wales and then moved with my parents to Buxton, Derbyshire. I have been married for 18 years and have 4 kids aged 10 - 16. I spent many years at home being a full time Mum and became an expert in nappies and breast feeding! Now my children are launched and I work full time as a maths teacher (you can blame Keith Tong!). I love my job in a Prep school in South Manchester.

Hi all, Thought I'd best update you on my life.. everytime I write one of these, three years seem to fly by and I'm back again writing another ! Still with Cheshire Police, been there six years now, I'm almost certainly a lifer there.... Currently Systems Administrator for the Crime System - all good fun - I'm basically the link between the business, users of the system and the technical support for the system if you don't know what one is... and I really enjoy it. How I got into this this after gaining a 2/2 Sociology and Theatre Studies degree at Liverpool Hope Uni in 99, I'll never know... but its a nice place to work and I have a nice little number and i'm happy.... at the minute anyway ! Been doing lots and got lots on this year... went away to the Carribean for two weeks just before Christmas - met a fantastic crowd out there and have booked to go again with a couple of them in September. Also got a few more weddings and hen do's this year too - lots of people going serious on me and getting married these days - all seems far too much for me just yet... Was in Netherlands visiting family last year - went to see the BSN and it just looks like one big grand spaceship - nothing compared to my days there from 91-96... Hope you're all well - send me an email if you get the urge. Lynda xxx

Have now lived in Brisbane, Australia for 8 years and after 7 years of studying am a Dr at a local hospital. Have made yet another trip over to the UK where we managed a mini reunion in London 3 weeks ago; we had half a (numerous) medal winning ISST hockey team made up of '89 & '90 ex-BSNers made up of: Rebekah Webb, Natalie McNulty, Izzy Mota, Nicki Baur and Maria Bennett, and me! (I think we'd still put those youngsters through their paces!!). I also caught up with Sue Robinson up in Macclesfield (now a teacher, and married) and also Lisa Grigg (who left at end of 5th year and now working for an accountants in London). This was all followed by Natalie, Andrea and Rebekah carving up the slopes in Bulgaira (and sampling vast quantities of cabbage washed down by local wines, spirits and beers - at only 50p each!). Then it was off to Rome to visit Eva Mohler for a couple of days then out to see Helen (nee Kanakis) and Tim Davies out in New Orleans. Sorry not to have caught up with Vera Goonan - hope to hear from you soon; where's your entry on this page?! Contact on e-mail via

I left BSN in 1984 spent a couple of years at home in Basingstoke before moving to Eastbourne to share a flat with Jacqui Edkins (now Brown) anyone who remembers us will know that we always came as a package! Worked for 9 years for a Marketing Consultancy in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Attended a BSN school re-union with Jax sometime towards the end of 90's and met up with people like Tony Credland, Andy Hewitt, Ali Rowley, Mark Brown, David O'Neill, John Lawrence and Marianne Wood (my ex next door neighbour). Kept in touch with Ali for a while but the last I heard she was going to South Africa to get married (does anyone have any up to date news on her?). I moved back home to Basingstoke about 3 years ago and now work for IBM. Jax is still in Eastbourne we got together last weekend and she says to say Hi to anyone who remembers her. Both of us would love to hear from anyone who remembers us and you can e-mail me and I'll pass the info onto Jax via the phone.

I joined what was then the English School in Holland in 1969 and left what became later BSN in 1981. I spent 4 years at college here in Cornwall and enjoyed every minute of it. I then joined the Army, wow what an experience, travelled around a bit, i.e. 11 addresses in 5 years, did a few short tours here and there, couple of back breaking courses like P Company and Commando Logistics and finished up out in the Gulf. Offered my third tape after 5 years, but declined on the grounds that the job's I was doing was indicative to my health and resigned. Came back to Cornwall for a nice peaceful quiet life. I returned to scouting which was something I really enjoyed whilst at BSN, now do far to much in it, but that's another long story. Although on a joint Scouting and Guiding canoe training weekend I did meet my future wife Beth. We eventually got married in Pendennis Castle in August 98. After leaving the army I started to work for the Local Government as a highways surveyor, changing trades to then qualify as a geoenvironmental engineer. That was fun for a few years, but further progression meant leaving the county, which now i'm home, I'm not really keen on doing. So another change, into the world of Public Rights Of Ways and enforcement, they pay me to walk in the countryside and to inspect the costal footpaths. I think I've now landed on my feet, it's a brilliant job, a few tate a tates with the odd obnoxious landowner, but you cant have everything your way. If you're ever in Cornwall and fancy a coffee give me a call. It would be good to hear from some of the old crowd, if your still out there alive a kicking.

my name is Christina Gee and I was in the BSN from 1993 to 2003. I left half way through year 10, and my class finishing year would have been 2006. Since I left BSN in year 10, I've been in highschool in Canberra, Australia. I'm now in college, studying drama, photography, maths (boo! shame its compulsory), English, Spanish and history. I hope Mr Cliff doesn't get too peeved when he discovers I've dropped French. life in Canberra is ridiculously boring, although the people are nice. I do miss Holland, and the Friday night drinking binges, although my health has probably been vastly improved due to my move out here. no cirrhosis of the liver for me, thanks!

September 2005 I got accepted to Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, where I'm now in my 3rd and final year, studying Creative music technology...and its a much better course than the one at Brookes! I'm writing a lot of music, feel free to have a listen at my myspace site. Would be great to hear from any old faces,,teachers included.

Left BSN in 1988 headed for St. John's College Oxford to read Chemistry. After four fun years of rowing and acadaemia (in that order), I set off to get a proper job and joined Exxon. I stayed long enough to finish my accounting exams before deciding on yet another radical change into the world of management consulting. A significant amount of my time was spent travelling, especially to the USA, so two years ago, I decided to make the move across the Atlantic. I'm currently working for Coopers & Lybrand Consulting in the USA, where I'm a senior manager in the IT strategy practice. Although I spend most of my time here, I do make it back to the UK for several weeks a year (we still have our home in London). I married my husband, Ian Wright (also an expatriot Briton), earlier this year. My first business book is due to be published next year. I'd be interested to hear from any staff and ex-pupils who may have known me, so go ahead and publish my e-mail address. Good luck with the web page. It made my month to find you!

Hello...I would have been part of the 1993 class but I left BSN (Mrs Tong's class) back in Dec 1985 to go and live just 20 mins south of Rome (in Italy, more precisely Frascati where my dad worked for Esrin-ESA) until 1995, year in which I left for London for a degree in film. I graduated in 1998 and came back to Rome where I worked for 2 years editing and then changed profession completely: I am now a fully qualified midwife and for the past year have been working in a busy Roman hospital delivering babies (bambini!). However I am now starting to apply for midwifery jobs in the UK cos things aren't too good here for midwives and also jobwise it isn't great for many young people (we have a really awful government here!). I would also like to do an MSc in Demography at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine so I'll probably be looking for jobs in the London area....but I know I'm going to miss Italy so much, not only for the sun and the fresh fruit but also for the people. I've recently heard from Claire Endean and Lise Fuller. I often wonder what's become of the Estec bus people such as Sarah Trigg, Louise Daly, Liam Crellin (who was also in my class) and Smita Chaturvedi....It's so weird to read about people who used to be in my class such as Iris Qureshi, Rebecca Jay, Nicola Bretherton! Ciao ciao.

Well, after eagerly looking through all these entries in the hope of finding some old friends, my search was a bit disappointing. As lovely as you all seem, I don't know any of you! (With the sorry exception of my brother that is!) I left the BSN in '92 -well, around then anyway. Then I moved to America for a couple of years before returning to Surrey in England. I'm doing my A levels at the mo, in English, Art and Theatre Studies, and next year will hopefully be going to univerity in an attempt to stretch out my life as a student for as long as possible. So, if there is anyone out there who remembers me - Ben Maddox, Sophie Wood, Zubin, Waseem, Yen, Katherine, and of course the unforgettable Miss Eve Sutch to name but a few - get in touch! Left BSN in 1989 and went to North Staffs Poly where I also bumped into Andy Smethurst's brother. Played rugby for North Staffs where we won the Poly's cup in 1991 beating Oxford in the final. Bumped in to many former BSN pupils on my rugby travels. After Poly I started a career in purchasing which for my sins I am still pursuing at present. I currently work for a national housebuilder based in Harefield, Middx. Parents moved to Texas in 1990 which meant plenty of cheap holidays for me and my brother, who incidentally lives two streets away from me. Rather spookily Caroline and Marianne Wood's parents moved to within 2 minutes drive of my parents in the US so we still keep in contact with them albeit not as frequently as perhaps we should. Had to end rugby career due to body not being able to keep up anymore !! I did keep in touch with Adam Plumb for a while and in fact even shared a flat with him for a while but haven't heard from him for a few years, although I still send a xmas card to his brother and parents. I currently live in Aylesbury, Bucks along with long suffering girlfriend of 9 years. No kids as yet but then hey I'm still a spring chicken.

I have been going to the BSN since September before My Seventh Birthday (Year3 I think) and I am now fourteen and a half so I've been going to BSN for over half my life. Before Holland I lived in Norway were I was born and lived there until shortly after my first birthday when I move to Oman where I lived for 6 years and then on to Holland. I am half English and half Scottish and me, my mum and 4 year old sister - who has just finished full time Nursery at the BSN - we are relocating to Scotland-Edinburgh. I have 2 older sisters Sonja (21) and Leonie (19). Leonie went to the BSN but graduated end of last year to go to Dundee-University (Leonie Graham if you now her) she started in year10 after disliking boarding-school. She like me enjoyed BSN and welcomed me up when I came in year7 (she was in Y12 then). Sonja has just finished her 2nd year at Edinburgh University. I have just left all My Friends Including my best Friend Haruka Funakoshi a Japanese girl who I have known a long time and another Friend Steff Anderson (who has left for USA) who I have known since mine and her, first day of year3 and life in the BSN!

Still in touch with Kristina Majurey and Nicola Western.

Evening all, Matt Grey here. I would have been in the class of '99 but I left in 1997 after completing my GCSE's second time around, which sucked somewhat, but it was worth it! I am now doing a National diploma in Public services at Tresham institute in Kettering, Northants. I'm still in contact with Chloe Brown and Lee Isabell, any one else out there?

Graduated from Nottingham University with an MSc in IT (after seven years at Uni!). I am currently living in Solihull with my girlfriend, Nicola. I work in Birmingham centre for Deloitte & Touche as an IT consultant although in any given week I am usually in some far flung part of the country, which is convenient for keeping in touch with people. Nick is living in Nottingham and working part-time while pursuing his rock-band ambitions. His band plays regular gigs around the midlands so if you see "Crawll" advertised, go and have a look. I've already heard from several people through this page, looking forward to hearing from more. Just a final note to update Gary's slightly out of date details, he and Helen are now engaged to be married next August. About time too!

Having been a link from my brother's details for about a year now, it is time to update the (incorrect) details therein. Having left BSN in 1993 I drank, lied and cheated my way to a BSc in Maths from Nottingham (no, not the Trent) and it was almost inevitable that I then joined PKF Chartered Accountants in Guildford in 1997 for a life of study, auditing and (thankfully) plenty more booze. However, having noted the ridiculous pay packages of my friends in the City, I duly passed my exams and cunningly followed suit having just joined Credit Suisse First Boston down in Canary Wharf, though I haven't figured out what I'm supposed to be doing yet. Needless to say I am still in touch with a lot of the BSN crowd and even manage to meet up with them in London on occassion, given that I'm living in the severe suburbs. On that note the most important part of my life since 1993 has been my on-going relationship with Helen Niblo (also ex-BSN) for almost seven (!) years, who moved in (!?!) in September 2000 and now teaches rugrats in deepest Surrey. Pressure to get married is intense. So if anyone wants to spend time with me before this eventuality then please feel free to get in contact and we'll arrange something silly.

[Class of 1972]
Hi, my name is Paul Gyswyt and I spent one year at the English School on Tapijtweg 10, leaving in summer 1972. I grew up near Philadelphia (USA) and in late '69 moved to Holland; first graduating from the American High School before attending the English School. Both my parents are Dutch nationals and returning to Holland allowed me to meet many relatives and experience Dutch culture, sports and weather. I have only good memories of both schools and invite any old classmates to email me. Names that come to mind are Bart Lelyveld, Ramy Karin, Frances and Simon, there are many others that remain as faces only. I returned to upstate New York in '72 and graduated as a civil engineer from Syracuse University in '77. Since then I have worked in the US power plant industry, particularly civil/structural engineering for nuclear power facilities. I now live in Southern California with my wife and three children.

I have eventually completed my MEd and am still teaching in the same school. Still Key Stage 1 Co-ordinator, now also Assessment Co-ordinator. I spent much of 99 working with Kosovar Refugees and children as we had 30 who spent a year at our school during the Kosova Crisis which was very hard but rewarding work. By accident I stumbled upon the BSNOSA website and was instantly transported back to the happy days I had spent from 1964 to 1968 at what was then called the English School - first at Tapijtweg and then at Parkweg. During this period my father was posted at the Pakistan Embassy in The Hague. I returned to Pakistan in June 1968 and have since then essentially remained here. In 1980 I got my MBA degree and started working thereafter. I got married in 1986 and now have a 16 year old son and two daughters ages 13 and 7. I am presently based in Islamabad and working in public relations for a company manufacturing and marketing seeds, fertilizers and PVC resin. The years spent in Holland were memorable ones. I can still remember the good times with my classmates - Konrad Bartelski, Linda Randolph, Martin Tomberg, Susan Manson, Sally Johnson, David Marshall, Rupert Morse, Nicola Carr North and Alison Turner to name a few. They all called me " Weedy". Mrs. Donaldson was the principal and my last class teacher was Miss Binns. I also remember Miss Henderson the geography teacher, Mr. Day who would throw chalks at those not paying attention and Mr. Quine in his lab in the attic at Parkweg. I wonder how they all are and what are they up to?

[Class of 1998]
I was born in The Netherlands and attended the BSN from Year 1 (1985-6) to Year 8 (1992-3). I left The Netherlands with my family in 1993 and moved to Kingston, Surrey where I attended Kingston Grammar School and gained 10 GCSEs (including one in Dutch through the Dutch Embassy in London!). I attended Tiffin Girls' School for my A levels where I took Economics, English Literature and German. In 1998 I attended the University of Southampton (where my husband and I met) and I completed a four-year BSc (Hons) in Economics & German, which involved spending a year in Germany. I worked at the Bayerische Landesbank in Mnchen for that year. Since graduation I have held a number of accountancy-related roles in large organisations in the Surrey area such as Nestl‚, ACNielsen and KBR and I am now working as a Financial Analyst in London whilst completing my CIMA (Management Accountancy qualification) Finals. I got married last summer and my husband and I have bought a place just a 20-minute train ride from Central London. Members of staff may be interested to know about my dad, Fazl-E Hasnain, who was on the Board of Governors of the BSN in the early 1990s. Although he has officially retired as a Chartered Accountant, he remains active in the community. He has been a member of the Richmond & Kingston Area Board of Young Enterprise and a Young Enterprise advisor at Tiffin Girls' School for the last 10 years. He also acts as an external examiner for a couple of modules at Kingston University's Business School. Most recently he has been appointed to the Board of Governors at Tiffin Girls' School. He has found that being on the Board of Governors of a state school presents many different challenges compared to those faced by the BSN!

Since leaving BSN, I went to York University where I studied for both an MEng in Computer Systems and Software Engineering, and a BSc in Mathematics consecutively. Neither were much fun, so then I read for a BSC in Software Engineering at De Montfort University, Leicester. I've now completed my 3 years at De Montfort University and have graduated in BSc Software Engineering. Hello! Far too long since I had any contact with a lot of former BSN friends, but it doesn't take long to sort that out! Having left the BSN in 1993, I went to Surrey University to study Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Last year I successfully completed that and left with a Masters degree in the subject. Other achievements during that time included captaining the first XV rugby team for a very successful season, in which we gained promotion, and became regional university champs! I now work for Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe, based in Birmingham, and have done for just over a year now. I'm involved in the development and design of chips (not the oven type!) for the industry. Jolly exciting! As for contacts with former BSNers, not doing so well there. Needless to say I'd love to hear from any former colleagues of the BSN years.

After leaving the BSN in 1993 and getting my A-levels at Sevenoaks School I went on to study Aeronautical Engineering at Bristol University. In between all the studying I took up the bizarre sport of Ultimate Frisbee which has taken me all over the country with various teams in various competitions including the World Club Championships last summer. More exotically I shall be competeing in the World Beach Ultimate Championships in Rimini this Easter. I have now graduated and currently work for Reynard Motorsport as an aerodynamicist designing Indy Cars for the American market and Formula Nippon cars for Japan. Not as glamorous as it may seem although I hope to get out to a race or two this summer. As for other BSNers, went to Uni with Jez Parkes and we both frequented the nightclub where Richard Astley now works, free entrance, free berr, need I say more. Love to hear from anyone else who knew me at the BSN.

Louise Hessellund. I left the BSN in 92 after finishing my GCSE'S and returned to Denmark. There I did the equivalent of A-levels (a three year course), after which I spent a year doing nothing and a little of everything, including some artclasses and working for Burger King, both very enriching! (The art of burger-making, you should see the instruction videos!). My interest in photography has turned out to be a little more persistant than I expected, so I find myself moving to Scotland for six months to study photography at Glasgow School of Art (Oct 99 - April 00), this way I'll be able to improve my Scottish as well as my photographs, I can't wait!

G'day people. Just a short note to update my going's on for anyone that may wish to know. I left the BSN back in 1992 after five years in Holland and moved back to Perth, Australia. After completing my Bachelor of Commerce I worked in Perth for a short while and then moved to Canberra for a six month stint, and then on to Sydney. All the while I continued to do a Grad Dip in Wine Business which puzzled my employer Coca-Cola. After around three years with them I completed my Grad Dip and left in 2002 to join Distinguished Vineyards, a specialist wine company that owns and distributes premium Australian wine (yes, Australia does actually make wine of a better quality than Jacobs Creek...). Currently living in Bondi, Sydney (where it seems every other person is a British backpacker!) with a couple of mates and would love to hear from anyone who I may have (or even may not have) known back in the day. I (very sadly) left BSN after GCSEs in 1990 to return to England for A levels. Shortly after that followed 9 months working in Melbourne planning to go to Hull on my return to read German and Dutch (with Carolyn Savage among others - whatever has happened to her?). That, however was not to be, and I finally made it to uni 4 years later. I followed an 'interesting' path through uni and graduated from Coventry University in business administration - not the course I started - last year (1999). As a result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, in the wrong company (or so the story goes...), I am now reading for a PhD, still at Coventry, and teaching economics, manufacturing management and engineering design (???). Those of you who remember me may well remember that my life revolved around my horses, and to an extent it still does; I now have a little dog and a partner to complete the picture.

I joined BSN at the Junior School in Scheveningen around 1982. My first memories are from the 'Hereward' school play which we put on. I played the lead and my dad stole the night by being the only parent videoing the whole event :) The next year it was Eric the Viking or something similar - can anyone help me out? I moved on to the senior school in Voorschoten where I was great friends with Hannah Barlow - fellow hockey player - whom I have since lost touch with. Many other names here bring back fab memories too. I left Holland in 1988 (but would have been Class of 1993) to return to the UK. I did school/A levels/University in quick succession, then went out to work to earn money for beer. Joined MSAS as Finance trainee in 96 and managed to con them into paying for me to travel the world under the guise of working :) Now living and working in Dublin, still working for MSAS (although now called Exel) as an accountant-type-bod. I'm living with my mad Oirish fiance - Mick - whom I love to bits! Bloody great to see so many names from the past would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me! Xx

Great to find this has been set up. We are Lesley Benson and Douglas Hopping. Both left 1975 (from Upper VIth). We were at Parkweg 17 - it was a very special place, with so many memories, including of some excellent teachers (as they say - noone forgets a good teacher!). Mind you, you also remember the wacky ones, and we had them too (you know who you are - don't you?). Spent 7 years in Edinburgh after degrees, then moved to Stoke Newington (London) in 1985, and we're still here. We also have a house in Lincolnshire, which gives us the best of both worlds. Still with Douglas, 2 children, both boys, all exactly as I would wish. I'm now a Nursery Headteacher, after a first career as a John lewis Partnership manager. Douglas is teaching Geography, very well, at secondary level (all that Mark Wynne inspiration) - he went into teaching pretty soon after doing his degree.

I left in the summer of 1971, after O Levels. Tempted to search for the OSA site after unearthing a cobweb-strewn report in which Mr Carrington said my English was jolly spiff BUT I should watch the tendency to lapse into the style of a 'lesser female novelist' and I quote. Am currently scribing what I trust is not a lesser female novel while temping as a medical secretary. Yo, I can spell bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. In between I went to a couple more schools, did a degree in French with Italian (including a year at the Universite de Lausanne), administered a medical research unit, became second author of two papers published in the British Journal of Rheumatology, campaigned against a certain fatwa, had pneumonia twice (is this a record?), wrote lots and lots of satirical if not satanic verses

I left BSN in 1979 and came to London to train as a radiographer. I obtained a MBA in 2001 and am currently in the process of setting up a brand new radiotherapy department in an independent hospital overlooking Wimbledon Common-a far cry from many years of commuting into central London- I now live 20 mins away from work! My 2 children Jessica (8) and Curtis (4.5) are growing up fast and doing well at school. I am looking forward to the "class of 1979" re-union in Oct.

I finished from bsn(year 13) in 1997. I have since then been in Michigan State University, Michigan. Thankfully, I got credit for my A'levels, so I'd be a junior by the end of the summer semester I'm currently in. Its hectic but fun, I get really into my core (chemical engineering) by fall, so I'm looking foward to that. Lately, I have only taken 1 chemical engineering class, because I had to take a bunch of University and college requirements. Its been cool though, but I'm glad its almost over.

I'm Uche Ilobi. I used to go to the BSN from Yr 7 in 1995 i believe, and then I left it in Yr 11 in 1998. I didn't leave Holland, but i still met old friends once in a while. People like Lisa Ewans, Angie Doucette, Tara Ellwood and Katie Linton were all people i knew quite well once. They were friends. I can be counted in with them in the Class of 2000. I would like to be included in the list of old timers. I am in University here in Holland and in my 3rd Year of Physical Geography. I would appreciate a response.

I have wonderful memories of my time at BSN.... and remembering how I wanted to get back there when I was at boarding school! Survived both and have recently moved to Auckland NZ having spent the past 7 years working and living in Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and HK). I am married with three beautiful daughters. The expat life style has continued to run through the family, my sister Jane is in Singapore working with Burger King (oh and being a mum to 4 children!), Paul is in Wellington working for NZ's largest energy co (married with 4 children). Tim is in Bangkok working with Nestle (married with a little daughter) and Mary-Kate is about to finish her studies in Melbourne. I am not in contact with anyone from BSN however was in touch with Ian Davies up to about 1999 or so.......It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me.

I thought it was about time i updated my entry on the website!! Well, i'm back living in Melbourne, Australia after having spent last year travelling around Asia and Europe. I began a masters in development studies this year, which sadly did not turn out to be for me, so i'm now just working part time and looking to start a whole new undergraduate degree in nutrition and dietetics next year. Its a bit of a wild card, but i'm hoping to eventually put it to fruition within the development field! In the mean time i'm off to Singapore and Vietnam for a couple of months to visit my sister Jane who is living in Singapore with her husband and two daughters, and my brother Martin, who is about to move from Singapore to Vietnam with his wife and three daughters. Tim and Paul are also doing well. Paul now has three children and Tim is getting married next year. I'm still in touch with a few BSNers but would love to continue hearing from anyone who remembers me!

Congratulations on your web site! It makes people like me who don't understand pens paper and stamps come out of the wood work! I used to look at the BSN mailer and think: those poor bastards from '69, God they must be old! Now I am one of the poor bastards from '76 and like my predecessors my year slowly dwindles off the pages of the BSN mailer. But NOT so! Your new 'e-mailer' shall bring them out of the wood work! Whilst we did not know each other, reference me back to MIke Weston, John Cliff, Pam or my buddy Van der Swan. In my day they were still all nervous 20 somethings struggeling with a new country and a new job. PLease share this mail with Mike, John and Pam (who I still keep in regular contact). As for me - I have'nt changed much (I hope) other than the extra 10 kilo's - I'm still regularly accused of being immature by managers (18 till I die!). I work for an multi national software house (SCO) where I am responsible for our international marketing. I have lived in Hertfordshire for 20 years and my wife (Denise, who is 10 years my junior) is about to produce our first child next week! In my 'free time' (ha, ha - what is that??) I am doing an MBA with the Open University. I am 3/4 done, 'only' 1 more year!! Before the MBA I acquired a pilot's licence and flew light aircraft for 10 years for fun (I really am a sad person, I obvious hate free time), but that has been put on the back burner over the last 8 months or so. In between, I am taking professional guitar lessons. Anyone who saw me play in '76 will understand why this is a wise investment - I may be crap, but I still try)!!! Mike & John may be pleased to know that I still actively use the German & French I learned as part of my job, and have been known to spue forth on computer subjects in French & German - my motto is: forget the grammer, just talk fast - hopefully they won't notice!! I still regularly think back to balmy June days sitting with Mike Weston, Barabara and Caroline in that tiny little room upstairs next to the loo's looking out the window at the swaying trees of the French school next door whilst seriously captivated by Mike's rendition of 'Doktor somethng's Gesammeltes Schweigen'. These are golden moments captured for life. Sadly, my knowledge (is that the right word ?) of Tudors & Stuarts so expertly imparted by Pam doesn't go down very well when discussing Unix operating systems! Anyway for all those equally ageing sods like me I can be contacted on email: vincej@sco.com. Thanks a billion all the staff at the English School of the Hague (as was). Without question they were the happiest years of my life! It is a privledge to have known you all. When you are down and fed up remember you are influencing lives for decades in to the future, you are shaping human beings, other than parents you guys are in the most priveledged position - keep up the courage ! Should any of you be in Herts I'd be glad to share a glass or two!!

Left the BSN in 1984. I have now left Birmingham for the pleasures of suburban Wigan, where I now have a post as consultant anaesthetist with an interest in chronic pain. I am married to Laura - a GP - who is taking time out to look after our 18 month daughter Kathryn. We toy with ideas of short trips to Holland and elsewhere on the continent, but practical toddler problems like car sickness and keeping still on air line seats have put paid to these thoughts for the immediate future.

I was in the class of 1997, however, I left BSN in 1991 to move to Cincinnati, Ohio, in the U.S. where I went to High School. I did my A Levels at boarding school in England, then went to university in Scotland/Germany/Belgium. I have moved around a great deal and have lived in a total of 9 different countries-including countries in West Africa, the Tropics, and Europe... Madness! I am currently living in Antwerp, Belgium. If anyone remembers me from the days of being in Mr. Richardson's class (J4) in the Junior School, and then Mr. Embleton's class in what I think was S1 in the Senior school, then please get in touch. I used to be on the gymnastics and swim teams. I have been trying to track down Angela Irving for years (her sister is Joanna-both were also gymnasts) and I wonder if anyone has any idea where she is. I heard years ago that they moved back to England at some point. Does anyone remember or have any idea about several people that were in my class? Firstly Henrik (I think he was Danish, and had blond hair and blue eyes) then there was Oliver (also blond and blue eyed, Frederick, and Cyril B. (a French chappy, dark brown hair) Also, does anyone know what happened to Claire Van de Heyden? She moved to the U.S. a little before I did. I do not remember the guys' surnames nor am I certain that is the correct spelling of Claire's last name. If you remember me, or know the emails of those I mentioned please do let me hear from you! Hugs, Sandra

I left the BSN in 1998 (end of year 9); had I stayed I would have been part of the 2002 class. I had been in the BSN schools all my life up until that point. I was really pleased to find this site as I have lost contact with so many people! After I left Holland we moved to Bath (UK) where I finished my A-levels. I then went to Manchester uni to study criminology in hope of being a probation officer, after a year there I realised I didn't want to be a probation officer at all so left to take a gap year! I am now back in Bath in a lovely little flat with my B/F and am working as an event organiser, sending stag parties, hen parties and corporate groups off all over the place. I seem to have landed on my feet with this job as I get to travel around a bit and do things like mud buggy racing and quad biking! I love my job so I'm hoping to move up the ladder here and then who knows?! There are so many people I would love to hear from and catch up with .. anyone really! It would be so nice to hear from any body who remembers me so drop me a quick e-mail! J x

I married Allan (also a Jensen, therefore no name change!!) in 1992 and in 1993 we had our son Patrick and Emma (inspired by Jane Austin's "Emma" which we did for A-levels - hope you see this Judith Fabian!!) followed in Aug. 1995. We have a house right between Copenhagen and Elsinor (Helsingor) in Holte/Sollerod. My parents came back to Denmark last year and have just moved back into there "old" house approx. 5 min. drive from our house. I have changed job, and now working for GE Capital IT Solutions. My brother John (left BSN in '84/85 ??) married Christel last year and had a beautiful baby girl on the 6th of September 1998 - her name is Clara !! I still keep in touch with a few people but would love to hear from more !! This was just a VERY short update - between work, travelling, kids (especially Patrick's activities icehockey (2 x a week) soccer (2 x a week) and golf (1 x a week) - wonder what Emma will choose when time comes ??), familiy, friends and our own golf - we feel that we have quite a full time schedule - and we love it !!

I am in contact with several school pals, but still unable to find Nicola Carr-North, does anyone know where she is? After leaving Holland in 1970 I joined the Midland Bank where I enjoyed 26 years service! Banking has changed dramatically in recent years so this, coupled with a health scare, prompted me search for a new venture. For the last 4 years I have thoroughly enjoyed managing a Building Society Agency. We went to the school between 1964 (if my memory serves me right) and 1970. After returning to England, I finished my education at Purbrook Grammar School in Portsmouth. I then married a classmate and we have been married now for 27 years with two children. A daughter (21) and a son(19). I now work as a Teaching Assistant/Librarian at a local middle school and have done so for 11 years. I remember the years we spent in Holland very clearly - Mr. Quine who I am sure I drove mad - Chemistry not a strong point! Mr. Mowlem was my class teacher at Tapijtweg and he retired down the road from me here in Poole - small world. I have recently started up contact with Daphne Peters(Lister as it was in my day )Is there anyone out there who remembers me? I can still put a name to the faces on the school photos even after all this time! Anyone remember making treacle toffee - I do (another disaster), not to mention the ESTEC school bus all the way back to Voorschoten where we lived at the time. I also remember the birthday parties and especially my sisters' parties - I was not invited - can't think why! Loads more memories to tell!

Hello everyone - found the website through my sister Gaby (below). I left the BSN in 1982 to come back to England. Went to school in the Wirral and then university in Cambridge and Edinburgh (specialising in Computational Linguistics). Decided not to become a lecturer or researcher after all and moved down to London to join British Airways in 1996. Worked in a variety of roles, culminating in International Relations Manager, which over four years took me to locations as glamourously diverse as the Maldives, Angola, Seychelles and Iraq. Then fancied a change of scene and a new challenge, so left in 2004 to become Head of International Policy at the Royal Society, the UK's national academy of science. Living in London, and would love to hear from anyone from the BSN who remembers me!

I left school in 1989 after three years. From there I wen to Madrid (the land where I was born) for a couple of years, then to Bern (Switzerland) to finish school and back to Spain to study Law in Pamplona (yes, where we run bulls). I then prepared my exams for the Diplomatic Corp, but gave up after two years and have been working in Caja Madrid (a Spanish Bank) ever since. At the moment I am in the Funding Dept as manager (giving out mandates most of the time), and enjoying quite a lot actually. Got married in October 2006 and live happily with our dog (while trying to enlarge our family). I had some email contact with Annabelle Klap (since I couldn't get hold of her older sister Nicola, who was in my class). Apart from that I've not really had much contact with any of my old school mates, so if anybody checks this, remembers me and would like to regain contact (or comes to Madrid some time), send me an emal. Last but not least, I've looking through some of biographies posted on the web and everybody seems to be pretty good, really glad!!!

I was sad to leave BSN in 1990 after GCSE - my family returned to Australia where I finished high school and went to La Trobe University to study physiotherapy. After graduating in 1995 I spent 6 months surfing in northern Australia before returning to the real world and getting a job as a physiotherapist in Melbourne. I worked as a physiotherapist in private practice in Melbourne for a couple of years and then travelled to London for a working holiday. I ended up spending three years in London working in private practice and as physio for the Saracens RFC development squad. Much of my time was spent travelling between 1997 and 2000 when I returned to Australia. At this point I decided to look for a new career path and went back to uni studying for a Masters in Government and Business Management. I also joined the Army reserve as a medic in 2000. I took a job in a the Transport Accident Commission which is a government department dealing with personal injury insurance and was there until 2004 when I moved to Sydney. I am now the Business Improvement Manager for Allianz personal injury insurance in Sydney and planning a wedding for May 2006. Love to hear from anyone from class of 1992.

I think I left the BSN in 1980, went to the American School of The Hague for 1 year then off to England. Spent 2 years at The American College of Fine Arts in London, then off the Los Angeles to finish of my BS. Degree in Fashion Marketing. I was going to go back to England after 2 years, but liked it here too much. I was a store manager (retail clothing) for 6 years, then decided to take it easy in a bank for 3 years. I moved to Washington D.C. for 1 1/2 years and got my Paralegal Certificate there. I then moved back to L.A. where I bought my condo back in 1989, and worked in one of L.A.'s largest law firms for 3 years, where I met my husband. I worked on some pretty interesting cases such as the O.J. Simpson case!!!! A couple of years ago we bought a house-I quit my job as paralegals do not have al ife and I have to daughters. Irene, almost 9 yrs, and Katrina 2 yrs. I work p/t at The Home Depot (a home improvement store) in the garden dept. It's great. You should see my landscaping at the house! I also have my condo which I rent out-the landscaping there is is beautiful. My 3 brothers are doing fine, Andrew, Richard and Robert- we all went to the BSN.

I remember (though I doubt they'll remember me) Pip Curtis, Sally Abraham, Endre Varga, Mehmet Denizen (who introduced me to hard core porn at the back of Mr Siggs' English class), Jacqui Hawkins, Anne Mark (we briefly worked together in the City in the 80's), Carlos Amengual, Erik Henken, Christine Walker, Lawrence Wilcox, Rami Karin, James van den Berg(the Who and Golden Earring in Amsterdam 1971 - brilliant!), Nick Speel, Mr Carrington, Mr Quine, Mr Peters (victim of painted insults right around the school) and a few more from other classes, Tony Kruger, Konrad Bartelksi, the Bring sisters, Yvonne Amengual... I left to board in England, went to UCL to read law, qualified as a barrister, left the bar to carry on travelling and have moved around the world ever since as a banker and PR consultant(time out to do an MBA at Cranfield) until settling in Richmond, Surrey, with my wife and 3 boys. Having been in financial services most of my career I now have 7 years under my belt as head of corporate communications at Fidelity Investments. Took my family to Holland last year, first time I'd been there since 1971. Stirred up a lot of memories - not all bad. Funny how people have a compulsion to go back - sites like this depend on this. What's done is done -we move on. Regards to all old schoolmates, wherever you are.

Sheri Kahle
[Class of 1982]
Oh my goodness, what a treat to find this site after so many years. I guess I was class of '82, since Amanda Wells, who posted here, was that class. I was there from 1974-6 when my father died and we had to move back to the States. I am now in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, and have been, for the most part since 1976. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me...Caroline Riley and Amanda Wells I remember so well...if my memory serves me correctly, there was also a Fintan Gannon and Mike Smith...or maybe I am not remembering the names right. It has been almost 30 years after all!!! Mr. Tong I have never forgotten. What a wonderful teacher and a powerful influence in my life! I am once again Sheri Kahle after my divorce in 1998.

Coral van der Kamp (now Wilkinson)
[Class of 1968]
My name is Coral van der Kamp - now Wilkinson. I was at the school for a year, whilst my father was based in Rotterdam, during 1967. That year in Holland was the most memorable of my childhood. The teacher I remember was Mrs Jonker, as she was my class teacher. I sang at the Congress Gebau with the school when we sang songs from the Pirates of Penzance. Now living in England- Reading. Divorced with 3 children. Qualified as a teacher in 1980. Went straight into the world of Insurance for seven years, and only returned to teaching when I had children of my own. Currently work for a Financial Adviser. Would love to hear from anyone who attended in the 1960's.

Helen Kanakis (now Davies)
[Class of 1989]
After leaving school in 1989, we both spent 4 years studying in London, and got married in October 93 in Holland. In March of 94 an offer of a Phd in Structural Geology for Tim took us to Cape Town, South Africa, where I got a great job with Reader's Digest as assistant marketing product manager. We had the most wonderful life there, and spent 2 of the years living with Mike Christian (class of 91), and his wife, Zelda. They have moved back to London, and unfortunately our stay also came to an end when the visas ran out, and we left in May of 97, travelling around southern Africa and Europe, on our way to the States. We are now temporarily settling down in New Orleans, where Tim has had to go out and get a proper job with Shell, and I'm working for an Advertising agency as an AE. We were amazed to find Donald and Alison Macllelan live 2 hours down the road from us. My sister Connie (class of 92), is doing a Masters in Architecture in London. That's all the news for now, contact us

Mr Laycock- be proud! I'd love to hear from any past students who have scattered over the past 7 years, from any year- especially Sarah M and Laura B from the year above...let me know how you all are! Life at BSN was fantastic, and I want to hold on to it for as long as I can.

After leaving the BSN spent 3 years studying English at Sussex. Had a lot of fun in Brighton, but graduate in a couple of weeks and then it will all be over! I'll be leaving Brighton soon to start a career in arts marketing, something I got into whilst volunteering at uni.I have a job lined up at a theatre in London and can't wait! So, now I'm looking for a new home in London, where I'll be moving in with my boyfriend, Xavier, who I met at uni. Would be great to hear from anyone, I haven't been very good at keeping in touch... Hear from Janet Yeh (can't wait for you to come to London!) and Kim Reynolds occassionally, but would love to hear what everyone else is up to.

[Year Group Unknown]
My name is Oluchukwu Keshi, but everyone calls me Oly. I attended the junior primary school from 1986 - early 1988. I got your email address from the school's website in the OSA section of the site. My main reason for writing is because, over the past couple of years i've been looking for a very good friend of mine by the name of Katherine Jarvis. We both attended the school at the same time but i had to leave to return back to my country, where i am originally from. We were both in Ms. Smith's class and Mr Tarry's class.

My whole family are particulaly interested in regaining contact with the Higgins family whom we were freinds with for years John Higgins was in the year above me and would have left in 1988 and his elder brother Louis Miguel would have left in 1985 if any body knows how to contact them I would be grateful.

[Class of 1994]
I attended the BSN until Sept 1992 when I was "moved" to New Zealand . Too much has happened in the last 13 years to write it all down. But I am alive and kicking.. I live in Auckland , New Zealand with Mark in a house we brought a few years back; I work for a recruitment company called Robert Walters as their IT contract Manager. Since leaving BSN I have maintained contact with Dani, Ellen, Holly, Kate, Ainslee, Mary, Diana and Veruschka, there are some who come in and out of contact, so please do keep in touch, I love hearing from old friends. Should anyone happen to be coming to NZ, feel free look us up.. There are only about 6 Klap's here in the phone listings (we are a special breed har har har!) And guess what? We are all related. It's been great emailing & seeing those who have made contact and I look forward to hearing from more of you soon. Have a great year everyone! PS I have removed my email address due to large number of junk mail I am getting, if you would like to get in touch, Robert Walters has offices around the globe, it is not hard to get your hands on my NZ email. if you really want to.. Sorry or you can call me on + 64 (0)21 795 324.

I arrived in time for the last year at BSN primary school (Mrs Tong's class) and left at the end of 6th form to go back to New Zealand. After 8 years of more school, study, working and NZ travels, I took a 3 week trip down memory lane, ended up in london and 10 years later am still here with my husband Simon and our cheeky chops son, Charlie. Am in touch with quite a few of our year on facebook and caught up with quite a (cheery!) contingency from the class of 94 at annabelles wedding in March 2009.

Doug Knapp
[Class of 1983]
I was at BSN from around 76 to 83. After BSN I studied at Erasmus in Rotterdam for a while before moving to Canada to complete my studies and play field hockey for the Canadian National team. I ended up playing international fieldhockey from 86 to 92 and attended 2 World Cups in 1986 and 1990. I was lucky to travel extensively during that time and chipped away at my university studies along the way. After finally completing studies at University of British Columbia, I entered the world of banking, first with Bank of Montreal and for the last 10 years with HSBC. I have moved quite a few times since joining HSBC and had many different positions mostly in commercial banking and project management. I am currrently working in Jersey City, across from Lower Manhatten and I am responsible for Finance & Planning for an IT subsidiary of HSBC. I am happily married to Leah (also a Canadian) and we have two children, Owen (13) and Emma (11).

Sam Kongsamut
[Class of 1975]
Left BSN in 1975. Went to the University of Ottawa (Canada) for a Biology degree. Spent a year doing graduate work in Thailand. M.S. (Biology) from the University of Illinois (Chicago, Illinois, USA), Ph.D. (Neuropharmacology) from the University of Chicago. Worked at Cornell University, Yale University and since 1991 with first Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals, then Hoechst Marion Roussel, and now Aventis Pharmaceuticals doing drug discovery and development. I haven't moved at all - I am a veteran of two large company mergers. With each merger, work has gotten more and more busy, and our site in Bridgewater, NJ, has grown in numbers of new buildings. I've worked on several compounds that are in clinical trials (in the neuroscience area) - none to market as yet. Teaching for fun at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Married, two great kids, girl 14, boy 11. I like to coach soccer (as it is called here; in the autumn for the past several years), go bike-riding with the kids, and do various (never-ending) jobs around the house. Spend all my time on work, kids and home improvement projects (in about that order). I am/have been in touch with a few BSNers (or "English School" as it was called back then).
